Why exercise in a group?
Along with the physical aspect of exercising, group exercise has been shown to be significantly beneficial over that of independent exercise (and of course no exercise at all!)
A study done by the American Osteopathic association (2017) showed that group exercise participation improved all measures of quality of life - mental, physical and emotional.
With group exercise being shown to reduce stress and improve emotional well being, there seems to be no end to the amount of benefits you can get.
Not only will your mental well being improve but group exercise also allows an opportunity to meet like minded people and develop relationships with those who can keep you accountable!
