Chocolate brownies
I have used the same chocolate brownie recipe for the last 10 year’s and I think thats enough said! If it it aint broke don’t fix it… I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!
Ingredients:
200g butter
200g Dark Chocolate
3 medium eggs
250g caster sugar
120g plain flour - sieved
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Equipment: 12 1/2 x 8 inches tin lined with baking parchment
Instructions:
Pre heat the oven to gas mark 4 / 170 degrees Celsius. Line the baking tin with baking parchment.
Melt the butter and sugar together by placing a bowl over simmering water until melted, or in a microwave.
Using an electric mixer, beat together the eggs and sugar for approximately 2 - 3 minutes until pale. Add the melted chocolate and mix well.
Add the flour, salt and vanilla essence to the mixture and stir until all the ingredients are incorporated and there are no lumps.
Pour into the prepared tin and bake for 35 minutes. The top will look cracked and flakey - This is normal!
Leave to cool, then lift out and cut into squares.
